Athletics Day

Each year our local home school group holds an athletics day.
The children had a great time this year as usual.

Cedar was in the 4-5 year old group.  He came 1st for long jump.
Concentrating on the landing ahead.

Arrow didn't get any places this year.  That is okay.  There was stiff competition in the 6-7 year old group.  Next year he will be in the older half of the group...

Cousins, waiting for their running race

Crystal did well in the 8-9 year old group.  She got a few places for her events.

Blossom was in the 10-11 year old group.  She did well too, especially in the running.

Butterfly, our sporty girl.  She got quite a few places for the events she entered.

J951 watching his sister come over the finish line.
Here she comes first in the 800 meters!
And this is how she ended the 800 meters...with a cartwheel!
And she blitzed the high jump this year! I think she jumped about 10cm higher than everyone else!
I am sneaking these ones in of my muscly photo-phobic boy.  Shhhhhh.
Black singlet dude.  Came second.

Ice Skating!

The Outdoor Ice Rink is in our city again this winter.  Our home educating group booked a session which we went along to.

This time was the little boys first time ice skating.  They managed fairly well.  We had the use of Bobby-The-Seal aids which was a HUGE help!

Crystal takes a turn at pushing her brother.
Cedar will tell you he loves his big brother!  He goes WAY faster than Mummy!
The girls were all independent on their skates this year.

Athletics Day

Our Home Educators group holds an athletics day every March.  It is so much fun for the children.

A quick joke to start...
Q. How can you tell you are at a home schooling event?
A. Look for all the people movers!

This event always draws a big crowd.
