December Day #13

We finally got a tree!  

 Do you know the rules for decorating a tree?  Lights on first.  Then tinsel and long strand things.  Then ornaments; big ones at the bottom moving up toward the top with the smaller ones as you go.  

 The only time of the year where climbing on the fire surround and sofa are allowed!

 We would not get jobs as tree decorators...but it looks great to me!  

 Ornament, not orDament!  Grrr...one child kept saying this wrong so I said "Ornament, like LORNA-ment!  Oh yeah!  My old fashioned name came in handy!  



Today's movie was one on tv...The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.  It was ok-ish.  

The mantelpiece gets a Christmas make over too.

Today's book was opened by Blossom.

The book is:

• The Christmas Cat.  Another cute animal perspective story.

Butterfly decorated her room.  She likes to change things around quite a bit so this was just a perfect opportunity!

Today our angels were sitting by the phone again, this time holding a card of names.

In the Bible there are many names for Jesus.  They describe for us who He is.  One of His names is Emmanuel, which means "God with us".
